Tim O'Leary

Tim has performed with 'The Boys of the Lough' and 'After Hours', in addition to co-founding several bands, including 'MacDermot's Two Hours' in Brighton. He is in demand as a musical director and composer for Edinburgh's Theatre Workshop and travelled extensively as a musician in the English Shakespeare Company.

As well as being a member of Islander, Tim performs regularly as a solo artist with a variety of backing bands. An imaginative exponent of Irish music, he also plays Swedish fiddle tunes, bluegrass, ragtime, swing and music from Eastern Europe and is a fine singer and accompanist.

Tim's driving style gives a real lift to the ceilidh dance experience and keeps the toes tapping.
