Dianne Newman
Dianne has been calling in ceilidh bands for over 10 years, having first started out on this in her home town of Newcastle upon Tyne.
With a background in traditional Irish step dancing, Dianne has a vast knowledge of Irish ceilidh dances, but since moving to Scotland has developed a keen interest in all things “Scottish”.
With this diversity in experience, you can always be sure that you will be encouraged to dance the old Scottish favourites such as The Gay Gordons and Dashing White Sergeant, but you might also learn a few new moves.
Dianne aims to encourage new dancers to take part, whilst allowing experienced ceilidh dancers to be fully involved in the evening, and her enthusiasm always ensures an active audience at all times.
